The Vikings lost 37-10 in an embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers that eliminated the Vikings from playoff contention. These lists are in no particular order as well just listed.
5 Winners of Thursdays game1. K.J. Osborn:
Once again we've seen K.J. Osborn step up for the Vikings. He caught 3 passes for 5 yards and a touchdown. Osborn didn't see many targets filling in at WR2, but with all things considered at the quarterback position he played pretty solid.
2. Tyler Conklin:
Much like Osborn, Tyler Conklin stepped up in the absence of Adam Thielen, as well as the offense missing Kirk Cousins. Conklin was a safety blanket player for the inexperienced Sean Mannion catching 5 passes for 47 yards.
3. Patrick Peterson:
Patrick Peterson played pretty well considering he was facing the best quarterback to wide receiver connection in the NFL. Peterson spent the whole second half mirroring Devante Adams, which is a tough task to fill, but he slowed him down after his first half of torching Kris Boyd.
4. Greg Joseph:
Greg Joseph has shown flashes of promise for the Vikings kicking situation going forward and he displayed that on Sunday night with a 51-yard field goal, which is the longest made field goal at Lambeau in the month of January.
5. Sheldon Richardson:
Once again a silently productive game for Sheldon Richardson. He's just a guy who is always making plays, whether it's taking blocks for linebackers to make the tackles or him making the tackles himself.
Losers of Thursdays game1. Mike Zimmer:
This embarrassing game probably just about did it for Mike Zimmer's career in Minnesota. I do not see him finding any way of convincing ownership to stick with him. This was the icing on the cake of another disappointing season.
2. Kris Boyd:
Kris Boyd was thrown into a bad situation, being the 3rd string cornerback 2 weeks ago and then having to start a game against Rodgers and Adams was never going to end well. He was thrown into the fire and all you can hope for is that it makes him better. He expressed on social media how upset he was and disappointed in himself, it's good to see he has heart for the team and is taking accountability.
3. Klint Kubiak:
Klint once again failed to call a good game on offense. You would think he would pull out some kind of unique play or way of helping Sean Mannion, but we really didn't see anything good.
4. Dalvin Cook:
This is a rare sighting to see Dalvin Cook in the losers category for a game. Cook rushed for only 13 yards on 9 carries. He averaged 1.4 yards per carry and was overall just not effective. He also caught 3 passes for 0 yards. Disappointing day for Cook in a Vikings offensive time of need.
