Week 9: Winners & Losers vs Commanders

The Vikings won 20-17 in Kirk Cousins' return to Washington moving them to 7-1 on the season and creating an even bigger gap in the NFC North.

5 Winners of the game

1. Kirk Cousins:

Kirk started off the game with a great drive but quickly slowed down. Cousins and the Vikings were down 17-7 in the 4th quarter and rallied the offense back into the game to three 4th quarter scores to tame the 20-17 victory against his former team. Kirk threw for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns in the victory.

2. Danielle Hunter:

This was the game Vikings fans had been waiting for. Up to this point, it has all been Za'Darius Smith in the spotlight but finally we saw a big day from Hunter. Danielle racked up 2 sacks on the day including one in a clutch position to stop an even bigger lead from Washington.

3. Harrison Smith:

Harrison Smith is still ELITE. This is three straight weeks of super clutch time interceptions from Smith and its great for long time Vikings fans to see him still producing.

4. Justin Jefferson:

JJ racked up some good stats with 115 yards and a touchdown on 7 catches. As usual JJ made clutch contested catches to make a change in the game.

5. T.J. Hockenson:

Wow. Kwesi needs a round of applause from all Vikings fans. This trade is going to change this team. Not only did Hockenson haul in 9 catches for 70 yards, but we saw another productive game from Adam Thielen clearly from Hockenson opening up the field. Crazy to think this was only Hockensons debut as a Viking.

Honorable Mentions: Kevin O'Connell, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, and Akayleb Evans.

Losers of the game

1. The Referee:

Looking back now this is just hilarious. The fact the game was even this close is surprising to most but we got the win. This referee just completely decked Cam Bynum and changed the game massively giving the commanders the lead and all the momentum. But at the end of the day stuff happens and we won which is all that matters.

2. Ed Ingram:

Ed Ingram did not play well again. Not much has changed with him but we can hope he starts to improve soon.
